My House

My House

Cosy bed dug in the carpet. Soft pillow waiting for someone to sleep on it. As a burning fire warms the house.
A lazy tabby cat sleeps in front of that fire.
Soft grey cat fur stays on the arm chair.
a busy mum cooking dinner.
Quiet hallway creaks. The creepy closet door swishes to and fro in the light misty wind.

Sense Poem

Lily
She smells like … shampoo and roses
She hears … the sound of the quiet orchard
She sees the chickens running around in the cop
She loves the taste of chocolate
She feels soft and gentle

She makes me feel happy.

The Acrostic Poem.

When it’s winter people stay inside and wraps up warm
Its cold and frosty outside
Now it’s cold now it’s frosty everyone keeps warm
The frost shows on the green grass showing how cold it is
Everyone keeps warm before bed, on a cold winters night
Raining and raining when will it go away

When it’s winter I think about the warmth
Every second of the day I wish I was in my bed.
Although it’s cold I still play and have fun.
The trees have no leaves on them.
Has it ever stopped raining I think every day I walk to school in the cold rain
Every winter morning it seems like it’s starts to rain.
Rain rain will it ever stop raining?

It was the last day of the holidays and I was thinking of all the fun stuff I did in the holidays
and this is what I did….

It was Monday, the first day of the holidays and I was going to my Nana's house. She lived by the mountains. When I got there she said she had surprise for me and my brother. When mum left, and we said goodbye next Nana pulled two presents from behind her back. Then she said “Go ahead open them.” I got a Rapunzel Lego set. William got a toy from the new transformers movie. Me and William played with our new toys. I spent the whole afternoon  building my lego set. When I finished I called Nana and she said “Are you finished?” and I said “Yes!”

It was the second Tuesday of the holidays and I was going to go for a  bush walk with my friend Ruby. We walked down the trail and Ruby walked with me. We found a waterfall at the corner of the trail. After that we went up a path that lead to the beginning of the trail. We walked up the stairs like we started, and then we went on bus and went home.

Now its Sunday the last day of the holidays tomorrow its school.

A moment in time...

             When I Sleep I Feel

I heard mum playing on the family iPad.
I heard dad walking down the corridor.

I saw my teddy bear between my arms.
I saw the light from mum and dads room
.
I felt the book from under my pillow.
I felt the cold icy water  beside me.

I wondered if all my dreams will come true.
I wondered if my toys have a party when I’m asleep.

When I grow up...

As part of our topic I have been thinking about myself and what makes me special. This has led to me thinking about what I would like to be when I grow up.

I made a ToonDoo about it.
